Sacred Paths

Year 1 - Origin & Revelation

Walking in desert.jpg

Walk the path of faith

aross lands shaped by revelation,

migration, scholarship, and resilience .

From desert beginnings

to oceans crossed,

to civilizations built,

to faith preserved in every age.

Guided by Muslim women scholars.

Rooted in reflection, wellness and sisterhood.

Travel as an inheritor –

not a tourist.

This is a 15 year civilization journey!

Year 1 invites us into sacred travel rooted in AAFIYAH — returning to the land where our human story began, where revelation descended, and where the heart remembers.

Where the body moves in remembrance and the heart softens — responding to the call to “Read” and return.

Living faith in community.
Where revelation became society, and belief became embodied.

Journal & Integration

Each participant receives the Sacred Paths Year 1 Journal — a thoughtfully structured companion designed to help anchor revelation in lived experience. Through guided prompts and reflective exercises, the journal supports you in tracing the inner shifts that unfold throughout the journey.

Sacred Paths does not conclude at the airport.

Following our return, participants gather for a Post-Retreat Integration Circle — a guided virtual space created to help you:

  • Reflect on what you experienced

  • Process spiritual and emotional shifts

  • Translate insight into daily rhythms

  • Gently stabilize after the intensity of sacred travel

  • Carry revelation into routine

Transformation is not only sparked — it is tended.

Participants are also invited to continue their journey through optional access to Sacred Paths Circle, our private community space for ongoing reflection, sisterhood, and spiritual grounding.

FAQ Section

❓ Do I need prior Umrah experience?

No prior Umrah experience is required.

Year 1 is intentionally designed to support both first-time and returning pilgrims. We will provide spiritual framing, logistical guidance, and group preparation so that you feel grounded and supported throughout the journey.

Whether this is your first Umrah or your fifth, Sacred Paths invites you to experience it with renewed presence and reflection.

What is the physical demand level?

This retreat includes moderate physical activity.

Umrah involves walking, and there will be site visits such as Cave Hira and ‘Arafah. While participation in every physical activity is not mandatory, attendees should be comfortable walking for extended periods and navigating uneven terrain.

We encourage participants to begin gentle walking preparation in advance. This is sacred travel — paced intentionally — but it does require some stamina.

If you have specific health concerns, we recommend consulting your physician prior to travel.

❓ What airport should I fly into?

We will all fly into King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in shaa Allah.

Detailed arrival windows and coordination instructions will be provided upon acceptance and deposit confirmation. We encourage participants purchasing their own travel tickets to wait for the official travel guidance before purchasing flights.

❓ Is this appropriate if I’m coming alone?

Yes — and many women do.

Sacred Paths is intentionally designed for women traveling independently who desire spiritually grounded sisterhood. The cohort model fosters connection, shared reflection, and meaningful companionship.

You will not feel like you are “joining alone.” You will be walking with women who, like you, said yes to something sacred.

❓ What is the refund policy?

The $500 deposit is nonrefundable and secures your place in the cohort.

Due to the nature of international travel, accommodations, and advance contractual commitments, retreat payments are generally nonrefundable. However, Aafiyah Women’s Collective reserves the right to grant limited refunds or credits at its sole discretion.

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to protect your investment in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

A full Sacred Paths Refund Policy Addendum is available for review prior to enrollment.

❓ Are payment plans available?

Yes.

We offer structured installment options through Square. Depending on eligibility, you may select:

  1. A retreat payment plan coordinated directly with Aafiyah Women’s Collective

  2. Buy Now, Pay Later installment options available through Square at checkout

Details will be provided upon acceptance. All payment arrangements must be completed prior to departure.
